WHO UNITED VOICE IS

  1. United Voice is one of the largest trade unions in Australia with members in the disability sector, aged care, and early childhood education sectors, and many others.

  2. United Voice SA Branch is the largest disability sector union in South Australia. We represent Disability and Community Support Workers, their supervisors and other frontline support staff in the sector.

  3. United Voice has members in almost every single disability organisation in the state – in both the non-government and government sectors.

  4. United Voice does not represent or cover Senior Management, HR, Directors, social workers, administrative employees or your CEO. If you are one of these workers, please speak to the ASU about joining. The ASU is your relevant union.

WHAT UNITED VOICE DOES

Negotiates

United Voice negotiates hundreds of Enterprise Agreements that result in significant improvements to members’ terms and conditions of employment.

Discounts & services

Big discounts for services and shopping through Union Member Benefits and Union Shopper.

FULL in house legal team

United Voice has a full in-house legal team that provides legal representation to members for issues at work – including disciplinaries, unfair dismissals, underpayment of wages, or workers’ compensation claims if you are injured at work at no additional cost to members.

ME BANK

ME Bank discounts for United Voice members.

advice & support

United Voice provides advice and support to members through the union’s Members’ Rights Centre. If you require any workplace advice or assistance please call 1800 825 468.

United Voice no longer provides professional indemnity insurance because it’s no longer necessary. As your employer covers you for this, no one ever made a claim because they were already covered. United Voice invests in a full in-house legal team that represents members in workplace issues, including workers compensation (which very few unions in Australia offer).
